What is a component action?

In WeWeb, some components come with actions defined in their configuration file.

For example, the default WeWeb video element comes with 3 actions:

Execute component actions in a workflow

In the example below, we used the component actions configured in the default WeWeb video element to build our own custom controls:

Pro tip: the "Execute component action" workflow action will only work if you use it on a component that has actions defined in its configuration.

Adding component actions

In WeWeb, you can import custom Vue.js components with your own config file. If you need inspiration, our components are open source.
